Melissa + Thomas’ Wedding at The Temple, Atlanta

December is one of the most festive times of the year, and a wedding day only makes the season feel even more fun! When Melissa and Thomas announced their plans to wed during the first week of the month, I knew their celebration would be a fun and beautiful fete their guests wouldn’t soon forget.

M and T each spent their wedding mornings getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Then it was time for the first looks to begin. Melissa shared a moment with her dad, and then Melissa and Thomas greeted each other outside for the first time on their wedding day. These “firsts” are always so special.

As their ceremony time neared, it was time for Melissa, Thomas, and their wedding party to travel to The Temple, which happens to be Atlanta’s oldest synagogue. I have to admit, it’s also one of the most beautiful! Inside, M and T were surrounded by their closest family members and friends during their ketubah ceremony before Melissa met Thomas at the top of the aisle where they exchanged their vows.

Rather than moving to another location for their reception, Melissa and Thomas stayed at The Temple and simply moved the fun into the onsite ballroom. Tables featured tall centerpieces of ivory and red blooms accented with eucalyptus by On Occasions of Atlanta, and the classic all-white cake by Frosted Pumpkin popped with a few red flowers of its own. The fun details continued with their signature drink sign, which offered a fun ode to their favorite pup.

In between listening to speeches and enjoying a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Cary’s Cuisine, Melissa, Thomas, and their guests were on the dance floor thanks to the incredible sounds of Emerald Empire Band. This band knows how to bring the fun! Before their night could officially come to a close, Melissa and Thomas shared one more moment with their guests while they ran through a sea of sparklers.
