Tucked away from Atlanta’s bustling center in between the mountains and wine country lies Sanctuary Estate. It’s a venue that’s meant to offer couples and their guests a true destination wedding experience: the feeling of truly escaping. Between the venue’s stunning interiors and incredible gardens, it was not hard to find plenty of inspiration for a styled shoot with a wonderful team of fellow wedding professionals.
While we were planning the design behind this shoot, we knew we wanted to incorporate a different color palette. Plus, we also envisioned a couple who chose Sanctuary Estate with a vision of exploring every inch of the property throughout their wedding day. Then we got to work!
We began with our color palette: fresh shades of ivory and green paired with cool light turquoise hues. The result felt fun and romantic and different—our ultimate goal. Then Dawn from Clementines took our color palette and wove it so beautifully throughout her garden-inspired florals. The bouquet was lush and full, and the boutonniere embraced a new trend of tucking inside of a suit jacket pocket.
Every inch of Sanctuary Estate is beautiful, and we knew we wanted to capture its beauty inside and outside. Here, you can host an outdoor ceremony in the garden followed by an indoor reception in the ballroom—the combination is the best way to fully experience this venue. With Dawn’s florals on full display, we explored the outside grounds for portraits with our couple, Stephany and Makila. With its lace detailing, we all thought Stephany’s dress was so perfect for Sanctuary Estate! And the rolling hills of the property combined with the beautiful natural light we had that day created the ultimate backdrop.
After an outdoor ceremony and couple’s portraits, it would only naturally be time to retreat inside to the ballroom. Dawn was at work once more to create more fresh and lush florals, this time for the centerpieces. Her chosen look was tall pieces with plenty of greenery and lots of gold detailing, and they looked fabulous with the classic rentals we sourced from Atlanta Vintage Glassware. The tabletop look was perfect, and the beauty continued onto the classic white cake from Monacella’s Bakery, which had flowers added to it to complete its look.
From the completely in love couple to our color palette, details, and stunning venue, this shoot was such a joy to produce from start to finish. At the end of the day, all of us agreed we cannot wait to return to Sanctuary Estate for many, many weddings in the future.
