The Top 5 Rooftop Wedding Venues in Atlanta

Atlanta has it all: warm and welcoming hotels, sprawling parks, beautiful ceremony locales, plenty of reception venues, and, of course, wonderful vistas to enjoy the views of our city’s skyline. Whether they call Atlanta home or are simply choosing to visit for a destination fete, many couples choose to celebrate their wedding days in this southern city — and I totally understand why. Though there are plenty of venues (check out more here) to consider for an ATL wedding day, I thought I would share five rooftop spaces that are high on my list as some of the best wedding venues in Atlanta. 

Ventanas

Ventanas is in a prime central spot in downtown Atlanta. You will find it across the street from Centennial Olympic Park and moments away from the CNN Center, Mercedes-Benz Arena, and the Georgia Aquarium, which are all places to put on a list of tourist locations for your guests to enjoy before or after your wedding day! Most importantly, however, are the views: Ventanas has floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook downtown and midtown Atlanta. 

Other than the space and the location, one of the things your guests will remember most about your wedding day is the food. And the chefs at Ventanas always deliver incredible menus because many have worked in top spaces throughout the world. Plus, the venue is located on top of the Hilton Garden Inn, so your getting ready location and accommodations will be a few steps away.

The Peachtree Club

If you want to feel as though you’re celebrating amongst the skyscrapers, don’t miss The Peachtree Club! The space combines interior and exterior venues together beautifully. 

First, plan to walk down the aisle outside on the terrace (string lights are an option). Then gather together with guests inside the light-filled ballroom for your cocktail hour and reception. A key thing to keep in mind about both spaces is they’re designed for 200 guests for a cocktail reception and 100 guests for a plated dinner. 

The Roof at Ponce City Market

After nearly a decade, Ponce City Market is one of Atlanta’s most bustling spots in the city. Plus, it happens to be a great spot to celebrate your wedding day at The Roof at Ponce City Market! 

The building itself has a cool modern, industrial feel, and The Roof allows couples and their guests to experience some of the best views in the city. Plus, the terrace helps to create an indoor-outdoor experience. You can plan to enjoy your ceremony completely outside. Then everyone can duck underneath the expansive white tent for dinner and dancing. At 10,000 square feet, The Roof is one of the most spacious venues where you can plan to invite up to 250 guests for a seated reception.

Epicurean Hotel Atlanta

If you’re dreaming of celebrating your wedding day at a luxurious downtown Atlanta hotel, the Epicurian Hotel is one to consider. The hotel is located in midtown, and their wedding packages cover not only the wedding day but the complete wedding weekend (think: rehearsal dinner, whiskey and wine tastings, cabana rentals, post-wedding brunch). Because it’s a hotel, wedding parties and guests can plan to stay onsite. Then the wedding can take place inside and outside, including on a sky terrace that boasts incredible views. 

Loews Atlanta Hotel

I mentioned how much I love the Atlanta skyline, and the Loews Atlanta Hotel allows you to celebrate right in the heart of Midtown. Plus, it’s home to some of my favorite ballrooms in the city.

The indoor-outdoor beauty begins during your ceremony on the Terrace. At 4,000 square feet, it’s expansive! Then plan to move inside to one of the hotel’s many luxurious ballroom settings. The Mercer and Ellington Ballrooms are both classic and timeless spaces for black-tie or black-tie optional weddings. But, if you’re looking for something a little more modern, don’t miss the Overlook! It’s a cool industrial-style space with soaring ceilings with exposed beams, wrap-around windows, and much more.
